Water and organic solvents play an important role in the industry. In general, trace amounts of hazardous substances contained in solvents or water bodies are difficult to remove although they are content in low.In certain situations, trace amounts of hazardous substances contained in solvents or water bodies can have a great impact on industrial production and reaction systems.Conventional methods for removing trace hazardous substances in solvents or water bodies suffer from dangerous, costly and complicated processing process. In view of these problems,in this work, the magnetic composite materials based on the as-prepared Fe3O4 and Co nanoparticles were prepared. The removal performance of trace amounts of water in organic solvents and phosphate in water by the as-prepared magnetic composite materials were systematically investigated. The main contents in this work are as follows:?1?Fe3O4 nanoparticles with uniform particles and superparamagnetic properties were prepared by thermal solvent method using ferric chloride hexahydrate as the iron source. The Co nanoparticles with about 50 nm in diameter was prepared by using cobalt trichloride hexahydrate as cobalt source and hydrazine hydrate as reductant. The experimental results show that magnetic nanoparticles were formed as uniformly nanoparticles with about 200 nm in diameter for Fe3O4 and 50 nm for Co nanoparticles. The saturation magnetic intensity was measured to be 71.3 emu g-1 for Fe3O4nanoparticles and 118.1 emu g-1for Co-2 nanoparticles,respectively.?2?A thin layer of polyacrylamide was coated on the surface of the Fe3O4 nanoparticles to obtain the Fe3O4@PAM composite materials by using emulsion polymerization method.SEM and TEM results show that Fe3O4 nanoparticles exhibited single-dispersed spherical microspheres and the Fe3O4@PAM composite materials exhibited a core-shell structure with strong magnetic response. The removal performance of the Fe3O4@PAM composite materials for the trace amounts of water in toluene was investigated. The result show that the Fe3O4@PAM composite materials can absorb the water in toluene as 10-15 times its own weight and the water content in toluene can be reduced to 47 ppm with a removal rate of 73%.Besides,by using an external magnetic field, the composite material can be quickly generated which is beneficial for its practical applications.?3?The conjugated microporous Co-polymers nanoparticles magnetic composites materials were prepared by in-situ growing the Co nanoparticles on the surface of the tubular conjugated microporous polymers.the experimental results show that the Co particles can be well dispersed on the surface and inside of the conjugated microporous polymers nanotubes, retaining a large number of pore structures and possessing a strong magnetic capacity. The removal performance of the Co-CMP composite materials for the trace amounts of phosphate in water was investigated. The result show that the adsorption capacity of Co-CMP composite materials for phosphate with 100 mg L-1,300 mg L-1 and 500 mg L-1was calculated to be 162.29 mg g-1,429.9 mg g-1 and 714.34mg g-1 respectively. It is noted that the removal rate of 82.77%was achieved when the concentration of the phosphate was 100 mg L-1,indicating the good removal performance of the Co-CMP composite materials.
