Sulfur plant is a productivity device.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out energy-saving research for sulfur plant.At present,scholars at home and abroad mostly focus on energy saving measures or point out the direction of research for energy saving of sulfur plants.In this paper,a strict mathematical model is set up for a refinery sulphur plant.On the basis of this model,the energy of the equipment can be saved by reforming the process flow and optimizing the process conditions.Aspen Plus software was used to simulate the whole process of sulphur plant.The sulfur recovery unit was divided into two parts,sulfur recovery and tail gas treatment.SR-POLAR was selected as the physical property method of sulfur recovery part,and ELECNRTL was selected as the physical property method of tail gas treatment part.The comparison analysis shows that the simulation results are basically the same as the actual production data of the device,which shows that the physical method,module,tearing flow and convergence method selected in the simulation process are appropriate,and the mathematical model established in this paper can be used as the basis for energy-saving research of sulfur plant next.Based on the mathematical model established above,the energy saving of the device is studied by improving the technological process and optimizing the technological conditions.In order to strengthen the recovery and utilization of waste heat of flue gas,adding a steam generator after the exhaust waste heat boiler can increase the production of 0.35 MPa saturated steam 1.069 t/h.Using the device to produce condensate instead of deoxidizing aquatic steam,the deoxidization water can be saved by 12.37 t/h,and 4.0 MPa superheated steam of 1.119 t/h and 0.35MPa saturated steam of 0.772 t/h can be produced.Using steam turbine instead of motor driven sulphur blower can reduce the power consumption 755 kW·h,but the cost of remolding investment is high.The cooling way from water cooling to air cooling+water cooling can save 28.24 t/h of circulating water and its energy saving effect is not ideal.Reducing the incinerator temperature of exhaust gas incinerator can save fuel gas of 77.28 Nm~3/h.The sensitivity analysis method is used to optimize the operating conditions of the tail gas treatment,which can save 1081 kW of thermal utility and 1473 kW of cold utilities.By analyzing the economic benefits of each energy saving technology,four kinds of energy saving measures are used to save energy,such as strengthening the recovery of flue gas waste heat,using the device to replace the deoxidizing water vapor,reducing the burning temperature of the exhaust incinerator and optimizing the operating conditions of the tail gas treatment.After energy saving,the unit consumption of sulfur unit is reduced by 13.39 kg(standard oil)/t(raw material),and the energy consumption of the original unit is reduced by 31.53%.The annual increase of economic benefit is about six million,three hundred and seventy thousand RMB,the reclaimed investment recovery period is less than one month,and the energy saving effect is remarkable.
