The concept of cutting tool whose contact surfaces with chips are continuously lubricated was put forward in this paper.And preparation of a continuously lubricated cutting tool system.The cutting performance of the tool was studied through cutting experiments,and the anti-friction mechanism of the tool was analyzed.The area of the rake face wear area calculated by microscopy and the finite element software simulation of the rake face high temperature area to determine the continuously lubricated cutting tool rake face friction reduction area,design of the continuous contact surface of the cutting tool cutting rake face cutting fluid channel and Texture patterns,simulated by finite element software,when the cutting fluid channel position is located in the center of the friction zone diameter of 200μm,equal spacing groove type texture width 300μm pitch 200μm depth 200μm,circular-shaped texture margin 100μm pitch 200μm three-weave of the structure is better.The addition of a 100μm unequal pitch texture in the tool pitch pattern can increase the cutting performance of the tool.The system of cutting tool whose contact surfaces with chips are continuously lubricated was designed.In order to realize the function of the system,the basic selection of various components in the system was performed.The cutting fluid used in the cutting process was selected,and two sealing methods were put forward for the special shank sealing.Through the experimental results,the O-ring was chosen for the better sealing effect.The continuous lubrication tool on the cutting tool interface was prepared.Through the experiment,the oil hole of the tool storage hole was better when the processing time was 14 minutes.The YG8 carbide cutting tools were subjected to cutting experiments using three methods of continuous lubricating cutting tool system(TG-W)and dry cutting(T-D)conventional casting fluid(T-W).Through experimental data analysis,when cutting cast iron,the tool cutting force under the TG-W method is lower than the TD method by a maximum of 17.1%,the rake face average friction coefficient is decreased by 3.8%,and the chip contact length is reduced by 6.5%.The tool’s three-direction cutting force decreased by 7%,the rake face average friction coefficient decreased by 1.2%,and the chip contact length decreased by 2.7%.When cutting 45# steel,the tool cutting force under TG-W method is lower than the TD method.The maximum cutting force of the tool is reduced by 16%.The average friction coefficient of the rake face is decreased by 6.2%.The contact length of the cutting chip is reduced by 5.6%.The maximum cutting force was decreased by 5%,the average coefficient of friction of the rake face was decreased by 2.9%,and the contact length of the chip was decreased by 2.7%.The friction reduction principle of cutting tool whose contact surfaces with chips are continuously lubricated is revealed.During the cutting process,the cutting tool allow the cutting fluid to continuously enter the friction area to form a layer of adsorption film and transform part of the bonding area into a sliding area.The sliding zone partially achieves fluid lubrication,reduces the chip contact length,and reduces the rake face wear area.
