For the design scale of the sewage treatment station can't reach the normal level of the COD index in production sewage of Xinjiang Shihezi ?tianfu yangguang? biotechnology pharmaceutical company,the coagulation sedimentation process was added in the front end of the biochemical section.But this company lacks experience in choice of flocculant,and hopes to achieve both discharge standards and economic benefit.As an on-the-job graduate student,while improve professional level by study,I hope to contribute to the local production and living combining with science,technology and production practice.This study test a variety of flocculants for COD treatment effect in the production sewage through scientific experiment to find a kind of flocculant with the best treatment effect,economy applicable,and conform to the enterprise actual needs.This experiment took the production sewage of a biopharmaceutical company in Xinjiang Shihezi as the research object.The experimental method was constituted by deeply investigating the pharmaceutical companies,on the basis of system analysis of sewage characteristics combined with domestic and foreign research productions about coagulation precipitation and flocculant characteristics.Firstly,determined the scope of the influence factors of coagulation experiments according to enterprise's production and sewage treatment station,such as flocculant dosing quantity,water temperature,pH value,residence time,etc..Secondly,choosed the flocculants of good treatment effect,such as inorganic flocculant,inorganic and inorganic composite flocculant,inorganic and organic composite flocculant.Finally,tested the treatment effect for COD in production sewage of the eight flocculants by coagulation experiment,and collated data and analyzed the result.The results showed that inorganic and organic composite flocculant for this enterprise sewage COD treatment effect was higher than inorganic flocculant,inorganic and inorganic flocculant.The addition of PAM for the sewage COD treatment effect was obvious,with faster reaction rate and bigger flocculation body.The experimental treatment effect was best with water temperature of 30 ?,pH of 8,residence time of 40 minutes,PAC + PAM composite flocculant dosing quantity of 250 mg/L,treatment effect of 58.9%.The treatment effect was 54.8% with water temperature of 10 ?,pH of 8,residence time of 40 minutes,PAC + PAM composite flocculant dosing quantity of 250 mg/L.In the case of meeting the design requirements(COD removal rate up to 30%),PAC + PAM composite flocculant cost minimum.It was better to use PAC + PAM composite flocculant with water temperature of 30 ?,pH of 8,residence time of 40 minutes,composite flocculant dosing quantity of 67.2 mg/L.PFS + PAM composite flocculant for the adaptability of temperature was obviously higher than that of PAC + PAM composite flocculant,With water temperature of 10 ?,pH of 8,residence time of 40 minutes,PFS + PAM composite flocculant dosing quantity of 73.2 mg/L.So it was better to use PFS + PAM composite flocculant in winter cold weather.
