In this paper,a new water-soluble polyester was synthesized by itaconic acid,itaconic acid sulfonic acid and 1,4-butanediol.The traditional oil-based polyester and polyether macromolecule polyol can be replaced by the new water-soluble polyesteras that was used to synthesize waterborne polyurethane via acetone method.The emulsion and film were characterized by FTIR,thermogravimetric Analysis(TGA),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and transmission electron Microscopy(TEM).And the experimental results showed when the molecular weight of polyester polyol was between 1021-2307 g/mol,the amount of polyester polyol was 35%-55%,R value was 1.6-2.0,triethylamine was used as neutralization agent and the neutralization degree was 100%,the WPU emulsion had excellent performance.The thermal stability of WPU film was good,and the glass transition temperature was 8 ?.The WPU emulsion granules were spherical,and the particle distribution in the emulsion was not uniform.In order to improve the water resistance of waterborne polyurethane film,the polyurethane emulsion was modified with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(KH550)and n-?-(ammonia-ethyl)-?-propyl methyl dimethyl methoxy(KH602).The properties of emulsion and film were characterized by FTIR,TGA and so on.And the results showed that the WPU emulsion which has a good stability was synthesized by the dosage of KH550 at 1% to 5%.The water absorption rate of the film which was modified with KH550 decreased 13.44%.The fracture strength of the WPU film increased with the increase of dosage of KH550.The elongation at break decreased with the increase of dosage of KH550.The water contact angle of the film increased with the increase of dosage of KH550.The temperature of decomposition of 10% of the original mass decreased by 17 °C,and the temperature of decomposition of 50%of original mass decreased by 15 ?.When the dosage of KH602 was 1% to 4%,the emulsion stability was good.And the film water absorption rate of the film decreased20.21%.The fracture strength of the WPU film increased with the increase of dosageof KH602,and the elongation at break decreased with the increase of dosage of KH550.The water contact angle of the film increased with the increase of dosage of KH602 dosage.The temperature of decomposition of 10% of the original mass decreased by 17 °C,and the temperature of decomposition of 50% of original mass decreased by 15 ?.The thermal stability of WPU modified with KH550 was better than that of WPU modified with KH602.The effect of KH602 on WPU was more obvious.Through the application of the silicone modified itaconate ester-based polyurethane emulsion,the results showed that when the mass fraction of KH550-WPU is 6%,the fabric has the best fastness to rubbing.And when the KH602-WPU mass fraction is 5%,the fabric has the best fastness to rubbing.The feel of the fabric gradually hardened as the amount of WPU-Si increased.The addition of WPU-Si significantly improved the blocking performance of PA coating printing adhesives.
