20Cr2Ni4 low-carbon alloy steel has high hardenability and excellent mechanical properties after heat treatment,which is the heavy-duty gear commonly used material,suffering larger load during operation.However,the cutting process is easy to produce residual stress in surface layer of the part,which would seriously affect the properties of it.And the residual stress generation is closely related to the material parameters and cutting parameters,so it is of critical significance that doing research on the influence of turning parameters on 20Cr2Ni4 steel's surface layer residual stress depth profile in this paper.The main contents are as follows:Establish the cutting force model considering the blade arc by Oxley cutting model which is improved according to the material properties of 20Cr2Ni4 steel,and the cutting temperature distribution model was built via the mirroring heat source method.Then calculate the mechanical stress and thermal stress caused by the cutting force and cutting heat respectively within surface layer.Based on the process of elastic loading,elastic-plastic loading and stress strain releasing,the depth distribution of residual stress analytical model was solved,when summarized the main cutting factors affecting the distribution.After defining the main turning parameters,the test method was used to explore the influence.Therefore,it was necessary to design orthogonal experiment to research the effect of 20Cr2Ni4 steel rectangular turning parameters on residual stress depth profile.Under the orthogonal scheme which was determined by specific parameters and the sample design result,complete turning process and the residual stress depth distribution curve measurement.Finishing the test,four characteristic values were selected for each curve to represent the feature of residual stress depth distribution.Then according to the orthogonal experiment analysis results with four characteristic values acting as indexes,summarize the main effect parameter of each characteristic value and analyze the influence of different parameters on characteristic values.Finally,an example was enumerated to apply the analysis results.Besides,to guarantee performance of parts,it is an effective way to achieve the active control of residual stress depth profile by controlling the turning parameters.
