With the further development of natural gas pipeline and distribution network,complex network design,network operation becomes a necessary condition for safe and stable supply,and accordingly,the size and complexity of the network are increasing rapidly.Especially for network with different topology,its operating characteristics become more difficult to grasp,after the accident,network element and its vulnerability to be further explored.Therefore,before the whole gas pipeline network system is fully completed,the use of numerical simulation of different types of pipe networks,as well as contact with the network topology between vulnerability and achieve natural gas pipeline preliminary evaluation of the vulnerability of the network,has very important significance.This paper takes natural gas pipeline network with different topology structure as the research object.First,according to the characteristics and demand of Simulation,combined the characteristic line method and the implicit central difference method,developed a program of natural gas pipeline network transient analysis,and validate the result of simulation;Then,taking the branch and loop network as simulation object,set different speed transient condition,and study the operational characteristics of their own,thus leads to the necessity of network vulnerability research;Last,according to the operation characteristics and topological properties of the natural gas pipeline,build a more close to the actual operation of the network vulnerability assessment index,make preliminary study on the method system,identify the weak source of complicated network pipe and node.The result is satisfactory,so as to the evaluation method can provide reference for the design and operation of complex network.
