Residue upgrading is one of the significant problems of petroleum processing in the world.CNOOC Huizhou Refinery processes vacuum residue with delayed coking,but the deep decarbonization degree leads to the generation of a large amount of low value petroleum coke.Therefore,notwithstanding the low costs of investment and operation nowadays,it is not a reasonable processing route that can be used to meet the needs of the growing vehicle fuels in the long run.In view of heavy oil processing,China University of Petroleum(Beijing)developed staged separation process.With heavy oil staged separation as the guide,our university uses hydrocracking and catalytic cracking processing vacuum residue LDAO as a pivotal way to improve the light oil yield.With vacuum residue from Huizhou Refinery as raw material,comparative analysis is made with the traditional delayed coking processing route,according to the different preliminary calculation of the light oil yield,the investment and the processing cost,to find out the optimal processing scheme.To process Penglai and Daliya atmospheric residue,Huizhou Refinery adopts reference scheme: VGO hydrocracking and catalytic cracking-VR delayed coking-CGO and HTO catalytic cracking(recorded as reference scheme);the paper designed two kinds of combined processing schemes: VR staged separation-75%VGO and 10%LDAO hydrocracking-25%VGO and 90%LDAO catalytic cracking-CGO and HTO catalytic cracking(recorded as combination scheme I),VR staged separation-75%VGO and 20%LDAO hydrocracking-25%VGO and 90%LDAO catalytic cracking-CGO and HTO catalytic cracking(recorded as combination scheme II).Based on laboratory research data,compared with the coking reference scheme,staged separation combined processing schemes can enhance light oil yield and total liquid yield about 2% and 4%;The optimization combined processing schemes can ascend light oil yield and total liquid yield about 3.5% and 4.5%,respectively.Blending more LDAO in VGO for hydrocracking,compared to catalytic cracking,can further promote light oil yield and total liquid yield.On account of the product distribution obtained from laboratory data,the economic benefit of staged separation combined processing schemes is superior to that of coking reference scheme.In staged separation combined processing schemes,higher proportion LDAO hydrocracking scheme benefits more.With high oil price,Penglai atmospheric residue using staged separation combined processing schemes can climb the economic benefit about 70~170 yuan/ton more than coking reference scheme's,while Daliya atmospheric residue can increase about 130~230 yuan/ton.Likewise,with low oil price,Penglai atmospheric residue using staged separation combined processing schemes can add economic benefit about 30~130 yuan/ton more than coking reference scheme's,while Daliya atmospheric residue can increase about 60~150 yuan/ton.
