Demetallization of vanadium and nickel from heavy oils is an improtant research topic in the field of petroleum and chemical. This paper study the model compounds of metalloporphyrin, the removal ratio of Ni and V from model compounds using MDM-H agent were also discussed. The reaction products were characterized by UV-vis.The principles of model compounds demetallization were explained on the basis of spectral characteristics.Mixed samples composed of OEP-Ni and OEP were characterized by UV-vis.The results showed that the coexistence of OEP-Ni and OEP wound cover some characteristic absorption peaks,Characteristic absorption peak intensity as it increased with the increase of its concentration.Qualitative and quantitative methods were advanced, according to the ultraviolet spectrum characteristics.Demetallization reaction of model compounds under the mixed solvent system composed of toluene and isopropanol was studied. The influence of reaction conditions including the amount of isopropanol, reaction time, the amount of demetallization agent,on the metal's removal ratio was analyzed, the results showed that the content of isopropanol had a great influence on demetallization effect, the soluble effect is the main factor that affect the metal's removal ratio.Three kinds of modeling compounds including OEP-Ni,OEP-VO,TPP-VO,were compared under same reaction condition. The results showed that metalloporphyrin structure is the key factor influencing the effect of demetallization. The removal ratio of Ni was 92.84% under the conditions of 10 wt% isopropanol,0.5 wt%MDM-H,and reaction time of 3 h.Finally, modeling compounds demetallization assisted by microwave radiation was investigated. The reaction process under microwave and conventional heating methods was compared, the result showed that the reaction mechanism is almost similar under both heating methods, however, the UV peak position of OEP changed after microwave radiation.
