Fire flooding is also called ISC technology, because of low oil price,to promote the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, saving energy consumption, reducing development cost, energy saving and emission reduction become the new requirements under the new situation. The steady advance of combustion-front is the basis of the success of fire flooding test.At the same time,it also determines the economic benefits of the development of fire flooding. So it is very important to study the fuel deposition process for the development of fire flooding. In this paper, the fuel deposition process in the process of burning oil is studied based on laboratory experiments.Mainly from three aspects, the research on the characteristics of oxidation process of crude oil,the research of fuel deposition process and the application of fuel deposition. In the study of oxidation process of crude oil,the change of fuel deposition process was determined by the thermogravimetric experiment of different viscosity crude oil.In the study of fuel deposition process, using high temperature oil displacement experiment device of reaction to study pressure, gas flow, oil properties and other factors on the deposition process. In the application of fuel deposition, the experimental method of fire flooding is used to verify the conclusions of the last stage.Experiment shows, with the temperature going up,the crude oil has three processes, low temperature oxidation, fuel deposition and high temperature oxidation.Compared with light oil, heavy oil can provide more fuel. But when the viscosity reaches the level of heavy oil,the amount of fuel is kept constant. With the increase of pressure, the amount of fuel deposition increased significantly. In the process of combustion front, less than 10% of the crude oil was consumed, and the oil displacement efficiency is ultimately more than 90%.
