According to the current situation of low permeability oilfield development in our country, this article start a series research in nano particles, such as filtrate the appropriate nano particles in core flooding test, and modified the surface properties of the particles. As we have learned the size of the hole in low permeability reservoirs in our country through the constant-pressure mercury injection test, then we filtrate some nano particles in different sizes through a series of tests and analysis.Next,we use three kinds of silane coupling agent to modificate the particles which do well in the test, then analysis the properties of the modificated nano silicon dioxide particles in some tests, such as membrane through sexual test, grain size analysis,Zeta potential test, and FT-IR test.At last,we prepare coreflooding test to analysis the role nano silicon dioxide particles played in different carry system, different reservoir permeability, different flow rate, different plug size, and get a result to show that how did the modificated nano particles influence the recovery of the crude oil.The experimental results show that, the properties of the nano silicon dioxide particles have got an obvious ascension after modificating by silane coupling agent. The results of FT-IR test show that target groups graft on the surface of silica successfully, and make both the size and the hydrophilic of nano silicon dioxide particles declined dramatically, the stability of the particles in aqueous solution has increased. In coreflooding test,in a range of low permeability,it can get a better EOR results in the following several kinds of cases: use foam as carry system, lower permeability,an appropriate flow rate, and a smaller inject plug.
