Due to its rich and novel structure, coordination polymers?CPs?materials are widely applications in areas including magnetism, luminescence sensing, catalysis, adsorption, separation and storage, electrical properties, biomedicine, proton conduction and so on.The metal organic complexes with active sites have open metal sites in the structure,or have the characteristics of active functional groups, which have aroused our interest in research.Based on the above considerations, the rigid tetracarboxylic acid ligand with active site?H4BIPA-TC?was chosen as a linker.,with the help of different imidazoles and pyridines auxiliary ligands,20 novel CPs have been synthesized under solvothermal mothod.Furthermore, their crystal structures were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis,IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, powder X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis.Based on H4BIPA-TC and imidazoles auxiliary ligands and pyridine linkers,16 novel CPs have been synthesized:{[Ni?BIPA-TC?0.5?1,4-bib??H2O?2]·3H2O·2DMA}n?1?{[Mn2?BIPA-TC??1,4-bib?0.5?H2O?2]·3H2O·DMA}n?2?{[Cd?BIPA-TC?0.5?1,4-bib??H2O?]·?H2O?3.5}n?3?{[Cd2?BIPA-TC??4,4'-bibp??H2O?]·?H2O?}n?4?{[M?BIPA-TC?0.5?4,4'-bibp?0.5?H2O?]}n[M=Co?5?,Ni?6?]{[Mn2?BIPA-TC??4,4'-bibp?2]·6H2O}n?7?{[Zn?BIPA-TC??4,4'-bibp?]·H2O}n?8?{[Cd?BIPA-TC?0.5?1,4-bimb?0.5?H2O?]·Et OH}n?9?{[Co?BIPA-TC?0.5?1,3-bimb?]·4H2O}n?10?{[Co?BIPA-TC?0.5?1,2-bimb?]·H2O·DMF}n?11?{[Ni?BIPA-TC?0.5?bimb??H2O?2]·7H2O·4DMA}n?12?{[Co?BIPA-TC?0.5?4,4'-bbib??H2O?]·?DMA?2?H2O?2}n?13?{[M?BIPA-TC?0.5?4,4'-bbib?]·3DMF·3H2O/4H2O}n[M=Co?14?,Zn?15?,Cd?16?]{[Cu?BIPA-TC?0.5?2,2-bipy??Pyridine?]·H2O}n?17?{[Cu?BIPA-TC?0.5?2,2-bipy??H2O?]}n?18?{Co?BIPA-TC?0.5?bpbp?]·2CH3CN}n?19?{Mn?BIPA-TC?0.5?bpbp?]}n?20?,The single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis shows that complex 1 is a?4,4?-connected2D network;2 is a?4,4,10?-connected 3D with tetranucleate crystallizing;3 is a?4,4?-connected 2D network with the point symbol of?46·48?2?42·64?.The adjacent layers interpenetrate with each other to generate 2D+2D?3D networks packed by hydrogen bonds interactions;4 possesses a?4,6?-connected network with two kinds of{Cd2?COO?2}SBUs,and exhibits an interesting 2D+2D?2D parallel entangled network, which pack into a 3D supramolecular architecture;5 and 6 are isomorphic 2D network;7 is a 3D structure with dinuclear crystallizing;8 is a 4-connected with the point symbol of?44.62?;9 is a 2D structure with dinuclear crystallizing;10,11 are 2D structure;12 is a 4-connected 2D network with the point symbol of?64·82?;13 is a?4,4?-connected network;14-16 are isomorphic,4-connected sheet with the point symbol of{32.62.72};17 is a 1D network;18 is a 3D with dinuclear crystallizing;19 and 20 are isomorphic 3D network. The structural comparisons indicating that the bis?imidazole?linkers with different length and flexibility play important roles in determinting the structure diversity. In addition, temperature also affects the structure. At the same time, the magnetic susceptibility measurements for complexes 1?2?7?10?11?12?13?14?18?19?20 were collected, showing that 2?7?10?11?12?19?20 display the weak antiferromagnetic behavior, while 1?13 and 18 shows ferromagnetic interactions.14indicating strong magnetic anisotropy.Besides, the fluorescent properties of 3?4?8?9?15?16 were measured that they have highly selective and sensitive detection for Fe3+in ethanol solution and nitroaromatic compounds in DMF.
