At a time when ICT keeps developing and innovating,the information transfer method in oil-gas fields is changing and developing all the time.While the oilfield sector makes its oilfield and well equipment digital and smart,to provide it with a more effective and secure communications protocol becomes a key issue for data transfer for the oilfield and well equipment management system.How to transfer equipment information via the IEC60870-5-104 protocol is an important part of research on this subject.Firstly,this paper investigates the current situation of wellhead equipment management system and data communication and discusses the necessity of using IEC60870-5-104 protocol as the communication protocol of wellhead equipment management system.Furthermore,the TCP/IP protocol and related technologies are explained,and the design principles and functional requirements of the wellhead equipment management system are analyzed in detail.Finally,it researches and analyzes the IEC60870-5-104 in detail,and it is applied to the data transmission of the oil field wellhead equipment management system.Through the package processing of the required data and according to the data transmission requirements of the system,the software debugging and testing of the oil field wellhead equipment management system in the application of the protocol are realized,so as to test for the stability of system operations and achieve the efficiency and reliability of this protocol in data transfer.A systematic analysis of the IEC60870-5-104 and its application in practice reveal that the protocol can achieve stable and reliable data transfer when used for data transfer in an oilfield and well equipment management system and that the information transfer process is more secure and efficient,basically reaching the target of this research.
