Rubber wood is a kind of natural polymer material.Because of its rich and beautiful texture and excellent performance,it is loved by people.However,rubber wood is prone to mildew in wet environments,and it is flammable,which needs to be modified before used.Most of the rubber wood modifiers so far have only one or two kinds of modification effects,which cannot meet the requirements.Therefore,a multi-functional modifier with a variety of modification functions has become a hot topic in the field of wood research.An rubber wood modifier(TC6T3)with antifungal activity,flame retardancy and moisture resistance had been synthesized using cyanuric chloride,n-hexylamine,2-aminoethanesulfonic acid and 3-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole were used as raw materials by nucleophilic substitution reaction.TC6T3 was identified by ESI-MS,1HNMR,and FTIR.Study its thermal stability by thermogravimetric analysis,and study on the antifungal activity against staphylococcus aureus and fusarium graminearum.The results showed that TC6T3 has good thermal stability,char residue and strong antibacterial activity,which meet the modification requirements.The rubber wood material was modified with TC6T3,and its flame retardancy,moisture resistance and mechanical properties were investigated.The flame-retardant test results show that when the loading efficiency of TC6T3Ca(TC6T3 cured product)is 14.2%,the LOI value of the modified wood reaches 28.5%,and the flame retardant level reaches B1 level,which meet the industry standards.Cone calorimeter was simulated actual burning of wood,the data showed that the ignition time of wood increased by 66.7%,pk HRR decreased by 25.8%,TSP decreased by 34.2%,which indicate that TC6T3 Ca has a strong inhibitory effect on the heat release and smoke release of rubber wood.The results of moisture proof experiments show that although TC6T3 Ca can reduce the hygroscopicity and enhance the dimensional stability of the wood,it can not make the wood surface hydrophobic.Mechanical test results show that TC6T3 Ca reduces mechanical properties of rubber wood but meets industry requirements.The above conclusions show that TC6T3 has the modification effect of antibacterial,flame retardant,smoke suppressing and moisture proofing,and can be used for rubber wood modification.
