The demand for mineral resources continues to increase, and the mining intensity continues to increase, which aggravates the occurrence of landslides in mines. In recent years, there have been continuous outbreaks of mudslides in mining areas in China, all of which have caused varying degrees of damag e.On the basis of remote sensing interpretation and field survey described the regional geology environment and studied the formation condition and mechanism of Hougou Gully from terrain, solid material and hydrolo gical condition. The historical outbreak of Hougou Gully were investigated and then calculate the motion parameters through the rain-flood method.According to the rheological characteristics and dynamic theory of debris flow,a three-dimensional geological model of the circulation and accumulation area were established and apply CFX,a software package based on the finite volume method of CFD,adopt Binham model as the rheological of debris flow simulated the movement of the debris flow, finally the whole movement process and overflowing range in the circulation area and accumulation fan were obtained.Choosing the flow velocity and flow depth calculated by numerical simulation as the assessment factors accomplished the hazard zone of Hougou Gully and class ify the area into three grade of debris hazard: low, medium and high. Finally, based on the platform of Arc Engine accomplished the development of debris flow information system.
