Study On The Influence Of VOC Diffusion In Indoor Environment

Abstract/Summary:
With the improvement of living standards,people pay more and more attention to the quality of life.Decoration industry is booming,but the problem of indoor pollution annoys people.The main culprit of indoor pollution is the VOC from indoor decoration materials.As one of the main indoor decoration materials,flooring is widely applied and largely needed,then cause large pollution,so it is the focus of this study.There are two ways in the study,on the one hand,to study the main VOC varieties flooring gives off and VOC content difference among different kinds of flooring,which could offer people technical support to choose green and suitable flooring,on the other hand,to study how indoor VOC concentration changes when people in northern China adopt different heating modes,which could offer people technical support to choose healthy and environmental heating mode.Finally,the effect of ventilation on dilution of indoor pollutants was simulated.Firstly,the article adopts one kind of generative method,called DNPH-HPLC-UV analytical method,to measure the VOC contents that flooring give off.Firstly,Solid wood floor,plastic floor and laminate floor were put in VOC testing storehouse one by one,then after a period of time,we collected samples by DNPH sampling tubes,do acetonitrile elution,then analyse them by Agilent’s high performance liquid chromatograph.Here are the following findings:(1)Solid wood flooring,plastic flooring and laminate flooring contain13 kinds of carbonyl compounds.The high content of solid wood flooring is formaldehyde and hexanal.The highest content was 59.65μg/m~3 and 109.19μg/m~3and they are accounted for 51.29%of the carbonyl compounds in the detection time.The content of cyclohexanone and butanone is the highest,ac counting for83.68%of aldehydes and ketones in plastic floor.The highest content of formaldehyde,acrolein and benzaldehyde was found,accounting for 53.05%of aldehydes and ketones in the laminated floor.(2)The total emission rate of the total aldehyde and ketone compound is 1430.207μg/m~2·h in plastic flooring.(3)Compared with solid wood flooring and plastic flooring,the initial emission rate of laminate floor is not large,but the emission rate is increasing with the passage of time.According to the results,even though plastic flooring’s VOC emission quantity is low,its look is not pretty,solid wood flooring looks good,but its formaldehyde content quantity is high,even though laminate flooring’s formaldehyde content is relatively low,but its emission rate is increasing.So people need special considerations on how to choose flooring.Secondly,in order to research the VOC concentration variation rule different indoor heating modes create in northern China,we transferred the passive house laboratory in Environmental and Municipal Engineering Academy to create two indoor heating modes,radiant floor heating and air conditioning heating,then arranged temperature metrical points and formaldehyde concentration measurement points,finally measured temperature and formaldehyde concentration accordingly by increasing the indoor temperature f rom 18℃to 24℃and setting 2℃as interval unit.The study results show as below,(1)With the temperature increasing,the formaldehyde concentration of each meas uring point also increased when using air conditioning heating.After 24-hour monitoring,the indoor temperature fluctuated regularly,then the indoor formaldehydeconcentration fluctuated accordingly.(2)When the temperature was switched with heated in heating cable,the concentration of formaldehyde began to rise and stabilized after 2 hours.(3)When the temperature was set from 18℃to 24℃,the indoor formaldehyde concentration increased from the initial 0.002070ppm to0.018361ppm,increasing 0.016291 ppm,which is 7.87 times the original formaldehyde concentration in using an air conditioning heating.When the temperature was set from 18℃to 24℃,the indoor formaldehyde concentration increased from the initial 0.007800ppm to 0.042598 ppm,increasing 0.034798 ppm,which was 8.17 times of the initial formaldehyde concentration in using heating cable for heating.The results show radiant floor heating cause a slight fluctuation in door temperaturewhich is good for people to work and study,but the formaldehyde concentration it gives off is large.So for creating a healthy and green indoor environment,people should choose not only flooring material which emits low formaldehyde concentration,but also suitable indoor heating mode.Finally,the dispersion of indoor pollution is simulated by Airpak software.The results show that the concentration of indoor pollutants decreases obviously under the ventilation condition,which is more than 1/2 times of the original one.
