With a fast-growing social and economic development within a specific region, soil is already being subjected to an increasing amount of multiple wastes from various industrial and agricultural activities, including a range of the human-activity-induced wastes. As a consequence of that,an issue of heavy metal pollution has emerged thus posing a threat to the quality of soil and the health of human beings. As a major base for agricultural productions, the north of urban Ningde applies the 3S techniques to conduct a thorough survey of a specific area as large as 146km2 large, based on the 2nd national soil survey and the project of Pan-Sanduao Comprehensive geological and environmental survey.A total of 1084 sampling spots are distributed evenly across the surveyed area to cover every single representative type of soil, with totally 24 indicators being included as well as another 30 randomly-distributed resampling spots to achieve precise control of the accuracy of sampling and its subsequent testing. It delivers a a series of data available to make analysis and assessment afterwards. This article is based on the exsisting findings to select a total of 8 most representative types of heavy metal elements to carry out research and analysis, with a discussion on two major issues, the environmental quality of soil and the reversal of soil contamination:1.The basic findings about the charateristics of the contents of the selected heavy metal elements contained within the surveyed soil,as well as the assessment of the environmental geochemistry grade for surface soil and the comprehensive geochemical grade for soil quality, thus providing a scientific refrence to both an optimal allocation of soil resources and the future planning of modern agricultural industry.2.Based such ratings,we could conduct a research on how to reverse soil contamination for a type of soil which is purposed for farming,by prioritising the social and economic benefits.Taking Cu as an example for reversing contamination,a total of 7 connected patches, either with medium or severe contaminations, are included for the discussion, totalling 377.64 mus(unit of area that equals 0.0667 hectar).By introducing the Petrogelochemical background value and based on the actual data from the survey, the cause of it is analysed to provide a reference for deciding the solutions to the soil contamination, the assessment of its effects and the subsequent monitoring. It’s considered to be very constructive and examplary as a guidance on how to plan the works on revesing soil contaminations for the coastline regions in the Southeast where hilly terrian is dominant.3.A comparison is made of different contamination-reserving techniques, which determines the new combined techniques that involves improving agents and phytoremedications.Like an excavator does, the chemical repairation techniques are applied by adding the Nano-graded Kaolinite or montmorillonite as an improving agent to reduce the effectiveness of element Cu contained in the soil,at time of which phytoremedication techniques are also applied by adding the selected Haizhou champignon, whitetip clover and pennisetum to reverse the soil contaminations. It is fairly viable both technically and economically, providing a data support for reviewing the experience of applying this new techniques for tackling soil contaminations.
