Ti3C2 is a new type of graphene-like material which with two-dimensional structure.It has many excellent properties,such as high mechanical properties,good electrical properties,good chemical stability and so on.These characteristics determine that it has a high research value and broad application prospects.In this paper,Ti3AlC2 is etched with 40%hydrofluoric acid to make the Ti3C2 which is a kind of two-dimensional layered material.Microscopic morphology shows that the Ti3AlC2 becomes a lamellar structure after etching.FT-IR analysis shows that there are a large number of hydroxyl functional groups on the surface of Ti3C2.In this paper,Ti3C2 with functional groups was used as modifier in order to improve the performance of basalt fiber composite(BFRP)and carbon fiber composite(CFRP).The tensile properties?flexural properties and ILSS properties of modified fiber/epoxy composites with different mass ratios were tested to obtain the optimum modification ratio of modified composites.Experimental results show that the mechanical properties of the both two composites show a tendency to increase first and then decrease with the increase of Ti3C2 content,and when the content of Ti3C2 comes 15%,the mechanical properties are the best.The mechanism of Ti3C2 on the performance of composites was discussed which combine with the cross-sectional morphology of the composites and the performance characteristics of Ti3C2.Ti3C2 can improve the interfacial adhesion between the resin and the fiber;Ti3C2 and resin matrix can be entangled with each other,Ti3C2 can play a role in limiting crack propagation in the case of externally applied destructive force.At the same time,this article discuss the corrosion behavior of the composites modified by Ti3C2 in sodium sulfate decahydrate.It analyze the water absorption characteristics of the composites and the mechanism of the Ti3C2 in preventing water absorption process of the composites.The water absorption of modified fiber/epoxy composites decreases with the increase of salt concentration and reduces the water absorption of composites.Ti3C2 can improve the resin matrix and reduce the channels of the water molecules into the composite material.
