In this article use the dredged sediment to product ceramsite by a sintering method,then apply the ceramsite to water treatment,looking for a new way for utilization of sediment.Main work content determination of dredged sediment properties,optimization research of producing ceramsite by sediment,application of ceramsite in water treatment in this study.The research show that chemical contents and particle distribution of sediment are similar to clay who is the raw materials of commercial ceramsite,hence,sediment can replace clay to product ceramsite.Choice fly ash and domestic sludge as the auxiliary raw material for high fluxes constituent and poor expansive property of sediment.According to the result and analysis of orthogonal experiment,we can get some conclusion.Apparent density,porosity and specific surface area of ceramsite are significantly affected by fly ash content.Bulk density,apparent density,porosity and water absorption in 1 hr of ceramsite are significantly affected by domestic sludge content.Bulk density,apparent density,porosity,water absorption in 1 hr and specific surface area of ceramsite are significantly affected by sintering temperature.Water absorption in 1 hr and P adsorption static of ceramsite are significantly affected by Sintering time.Considering the six indexes,the optimal combination of process is the fly ash content with 25%,domestic sludge content with 9%,sintering temperature with 1000?,the sintering time with 16 min.Use two of ceramsite and other three kinds filler who are anthracite,zeolite and steel slag respectively to construct percolation system,then investigate the percolation system removal efficiency of pollutants in artificial water who is made up according to field runoff.The results show that the percolation system combined by ceramsite and steel slag presents high removal ability to the suspended solids and phosphorus in water,whose removal efficiency are above 80 percent steadily.Based that,using ceramsite and steel slag combination to purify field runoff can effectively reduce the river turbidity and prevent the eutrophication of water.The method that use sediment to product ceramsite and apply the ceramsite to exgenous pollution control of river not only solve the sediment disposal problem,but also find market for ceramsite,bring remarkable environmental benefits.
