Two types of materials are synthesized in this project and applied to environmental purifying purposes.Hence,the efficiency of different pollutants removal performance is investigated.Mesoporous graphite carbon nitride(g-C3N4)is prepared by sintering melamine under high temperature.α-Fe2O3/g-C3N4 composites are then synthesized by coprecipitation method.As-prepared samples are systematically characterized by XRD,HRTEM,UV-Vis DRS,BET and XPS methods followed by studies on Photocatalytic-oxidation/adsorption cooperative arsenic ion(As(III))removal performance.The result indicates enhanced photocatalytic property due to the forming of heterojunction betweenα-Fe2O3 and g-C3N4.As(III)is initially oxidized to better adsorbable As(V)then simultaneously adsorbed byα-Fe2O3.Whenα-Fe2O3 reaches20%in the composite,up to 99%of As(III)is removed.Photocatalytic oxidation mechanism research reveals superoxide radicals(·O2)as the major active groupreveals the mechanism of the composite arsenic oxidation.Second part of the project requires synthesis of polyacrylonitrile(PAN)using acrylonitrileasprecursor,potassiumpersulfateasinitiatorand N,N’-methylenebisacrylamide as crosslinker.Prepared PAN is modified with hydroxylamine hydrochloride to acquire amidoxime polyacrylonitrile(AOPAN).Characterization of the samples is conducted via FT-IR,SEM,BET and ASS to examine arsenic oxidation performance.Oxidation and adsorption cooperative As(III)removal performance of AOPAN-Fe/Cu-x is determined under the effect of H2O2.Lastly,research on methyl orange(as organic pollutants)catalytic degradation effect of AOPAN-Fe/Cu-x(as Fenton reagent)is performed.Research aspect includes namely,catalytic oxidation kinetics investigation;effect of adsorbent amount,H2O2amount,pH of the solution and initial concentration of methyl orange;reusability of the complex.
