Sb2O3 is usually used as a clarifier in the preparation of conventional glass.However,as the amphoteric oxide Sb2O3,the redox reaction of the Sb2O3 with the colored ions were observed by the redox couple of Dulles and Weir.The changing coloration of the colored ions was known,which affects the coloration of Na2O-CaO-SiO2 system glass.Therefore,the effect of Sb2O3 on the coloration of Na2O-CaO-SiO2 system glass was systematically studied.The effect of Sb2O3 on the coloration and properties of glass was studied by changing the content of Sb2O3 in glass;CeO2 and Sb2O3 was doped in the glass and luminescence properties of the glasses was studied through changing relative contents of Sb2O3.This paper uses Color-Eye7000A to calculate the main wavelength of colored glass to analyse the color change of glass.The luminous performance of glasses was determined by fluorescence spectrophotometer.The transmittance curve of glasses was determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometer.The expansion coefficient and characteristic temperatures of glasses were determined by high temperature horizontal dilatometer.Water resistence ability of glasses was determined by water bath heating method.The density of the glass was measured using the Archimedes principle.Results indicate that:1.The results show that the addition of Sb2O3 changes the color of the glass,When the colorant is manganese,the silicate glass changes from purple to colorless;When the colorant is chromium,the silicate glass changes from yellow to green;When the colorant is copper,the silicate glass changes from lake blue to sky blue;When the colorant is iron,the silicate glass changes from light blue to light green.2.In cerium-doped Na2O-CaO-SiO2 system glass,draw the conclusion:(1)Cerium ions and antimony ions coexistence of soda-lime silica glass,after the sunlight after the glass from colorless to light yellow,and then after heat treatment from light yellow to colorless.(2)The emission and excitation intensity of the cerium-doped Na2O-CaO-SiO2 system with Sb2O3 were gradually decreased with the increase of the cerium content,and the transmittance decreased and redshift occurred.(3)When the content of cerium is 1.0%and the content of Sb2O3 is 0.8%,the emission intensity and the excitation intensity of the cerium doped glass are increased with the increase of Sb2O3 content when the cerium doped glass of Sb2O3 is added without sunlight.The highest,Sb2O3 addition of 0.8%or more,emission intensity and excitation intensity is reduced.(4)After the addition of Sb2O3 cerium-doped glass to sunlight,the emission and excitation intensities are weaker than before sunlight,and the transmittance in the visible band decreases.(5)After the heat treatment,the glass samples,transmittance,emission intensity and excitation intensity were enhanced after sunlight.3.The addition of Sb2O3 increases the coefficient of thermal expansion,decreases the acid resistance,and increases the density slightly.The acidity of the silicate glass is enhanced due to the addition of colorant iron and cerium,and the density of the silicate glass is slightly reduced due to the addition of colorant cerium.
