Nano-zirconia material is a new kind of nano-materials,which has been widely used in the preparation of inorganic coatings,aerospace materials,biomedical materials,catalyst materials and other functional materials.Due to the particularity of the performance of different functional materials,which require nano-zirconia material also must have a certain particularity.This particularity is reflected in the material morphology and surface structure.Therefore,it is very important to study the preparation of nano-zirconia materials with different morphologies and surface structures.In this paper,we make the preparation of nano-zirconia material as the research background.Acorrding to relevant literature and research summary,we use the new microemulsion method and sol-gel method these two different methods to prepare the controlled,uniform,non-porous and spherical nano-zirconia particles.The characterization of the experimental results are carried out by the different characterization methods.The different preparation methods are discussed and studied by the obtained characterization results.The spherical nano-zirconia crystal particles(500-2000 nm)are prepared by continuous mixing kettle reactor using microemulsion method,which takes n-propanol zirconium,water,n-butanol and stearic acid as reaction materials.The effects of reactant concentration,reaction temperature,reaction time,solvent and product treatment temperature on the particle size,particle size distribution,specific surface area,surface pore structure and crystal morphology of the prepared nano-zirconia crystal are studied.The experimental results are characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),particle size distribution analyzer,N2 adsorption-desorption instrument,X-ray diffractometer and differential thermal analysis(TG-DTA).The results show that the nanometer zirconia particles prepared at shorter reaction time have uniform particle size,good spherical shape and no pore structures on the surface of the particles at room temperature.Through the conventional kettle reactor,the sol-gel method takes ZrOCl2 ยท 8H2O,urea,sodium dodecyl sulfate and ethanol as the raw reaction materials to controllably prepare nano-dioxide zirconium crystal particles(500-1500 nm).The effects of reactant concentration,concentration of precipitant,heating methods and SDS concentration on the particle size,particle size distribution,specific surface area and surface pore structures of nano-zirconia particles are studied.And the nano-zirconia crystal particles are characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),particle size distribution(DLS)and N2 adsorption-desorption instrument.It is found that the particles are homogeneous,the sphericity is good and the surface has no pore structures.And in the experiment,we take the advantages of the ionic surfactant mixing solution of amphoteric binding to achieve a controlled preparation of zirconium oxide crystal particles.
