Polypropylene(PP)was a kind of synthetic plastic resin,with small density,high strength,chemical stability,electrical insulation.PP was the best heat resistance product in general resin.In the automotive industry,household electrical appliances,electronics,packaging and building materials furniture,PP had a wide range of applications.This paper mainly focused on the analysis of intermediate products by using infrared spectroscopy,X fluorescence spectrometer and small nuclear magnetic fields,and compared with traditional methods.In the process of producing impact copolymer polypropylene and random copolymer polypropylene,using infrared spectrum analysis method could fast accurate analyse rubber content.This could guide the process to adjust the ethylene feed rate and pressure,and have the effect of eyes,thereby reducing the loss of product disqualification due to poor analytical data.Polypropylene element content and ash content of PP samples were analysed by X ray fluorescence spectrometry.This process was simple,and the analysis time was about 30 min ~ 1 h.The method with fast analysis speed,good accuracy and precision could meet the production requirements rapidly and exactly,and guide the process.Using small nuclear magnetic to determine the isotactic index of polypropylene and soluble content of xylene,the result agreed with the traditional chemical wet method.NMR with short test time,high speed,high precision and security advantages could more effectively guide the practical production.Through the comparative study showed that modern advanced detection means instead of the original chemical method analysis of intermediate control samples in polypropylene technology,analysts could be freed from numerous lock detection works,and save manpower analysis cost.It did not use toxic and harmful reagents which could create a good test and analysis environment.
