With the improvement of people's living standard,the high-end household appliances of environment-friendly and fashion are more and more popular with consumers,and become the mainstream of the market.According to market research,color is one of the important factors when choosing high-end home appliances.In order to produce a bright color and fashionable home appliances,adhesive or painting is the traditional method.This method makes the process complex and high cost,and discharging of noxious gases is harmful to the health of consumers.Environment-protective is also important factors when consumers choose home appliances.The development of bi-color injection has a great advantage in the product appearance,performance and environmental protection,and has a broad market prospect in China.Bi-color injection was first used in high-end automotive,such as auto lamp and sunroof.Because of the unique beauty and high quality,it is very popular with consumers.But it's great difficulty to master the bi-color technology,including the design of the product and the mold,so it can't satisfy the demanding of the double-color product,especially for White goods.On the basis of a large number of domestic and foreign literature data,this paper analyzes the current research and development prospects of bi-color injection technology,and discusses the significance of bi-color injection technology.Based on the analysis of the process and material of the sight window frame,the hold pressure,the location of weld lines and the deformation of the products were analyzed by Moldflow MPI.How to select the bi-color machine was introduced.Designed injection mold components and parts,including the injection system,ejecting mechanism,cooling circuit,mold base system and the position of the inserts,solved the key technology of the sealing of the parting surface and the flow mark some technical problems,and successfully applied in the sight window frame.This paper also introduces the influence of injection molding process and how to solve the defects of bi-color products by adjusting melt temperature,hold pressure,injection velocity and mold temperature.The results of study are useful to bi-color injection process design.
