In modern society,various types of composite materials appear in all aspects of production and life.Among them,carbon fiber reinforced polyimide composite material has excellent mechanical and thermal properties,which in many high-tech fields are widely used.However,there are many problems in the use of polyimide composites.Because in the production process of composite laminates,preparation technology are complex,and its structure is anisotropic.Besides,in all kinds of usage in composite laminates is often subjected to foreign object impact injury.The damage caused by high speed impact is more obvious,easy to find,while low speed impact damage is more subtle.However,the damage caused by the impact will greatly affect mechanical properties of the laminates greatly.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the mechanical performance of laminated plates under low velocity impact,the generation and expansion mechanism,impact resistance and damage tolerance of impact damage.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:First of all,the development history and the present application situation of the composite materials are briefly introduced.The related contents of polyimide resin and carbon fiber were introduced.The failure criterion of material failure criterion and material stiffness degradation scheme are summarized.The application fields of the finite element analysis software of Abaqus and Ansys are briefly introduced in this paper,and the comparison between these two sofrwares is carried out.The content of interlaminar damage is analyzed..Based on the theory of three-dimensional progressive damage damage analysis,the VUMAT user subroutine was developed and Abaqus / Explicit explicit finite element software is used to analyze the low velocity impact of carbon fiber reinforced polyimide laminates.The consistency of the experimental and simulation results shows the correctness of the finite element model established in this paper.At the same time,combined with the experiment and theory,the characteristics of the damage at different time and the generation and expansion mechanism of impact damage are analyzed,the matrix damage,fiber damage and delamination damage were described.Finally,in order to study the influence of different factors on the impact process of composite laminates,factors such as the change of different layer angle,stacking sequence,Material properties and punch quality are analyzed,which provides some guidance for the design of composite laminated structures.
