Hypochlorite solution has been widely used in industrial production and social life since discovery.In order to fine the solution for its commodity sodium hypochlorite solution,such as inconvenient storage and transportation,large occupation and other issues,the small in-suit generation system has its research value,which may offer an efficient and inexpensive method for preparation.This paper includes two parts.The first part is the preparation and optimization of hypochlorite solution.The second part introduces its oxidation application.In the first part,using sodium chloride solution as the electrolyte,a hypochlorite brine generator was designed to produce hypochlorite by electrochemical method.In his paper,the working mechanism of electrolysis was elaborated by referring to the relevant literature,and the experimental conditions affecting the preparation efficiency,such as plate spacing,electrolyte concentration,current density and the electrolysis time,were optimized.A single factor experiment was used to find the optimal conditions for preparing hypochlorite solution with the criterion of available chlorine concentration.The results indicate that the optimum experimental parameters are as follows:electrolyte concentration is 35.00g/L,current density is 17.94A/dm2 and electrolysis time is 30min.Under this condition,the available chlorine concentration in the hypochlorite solution is 3.64g/L,and the preparation cost of available chlorine is 28.24 RMB/kg.In the second part,the simulated dye wastewater and marine algae were used as experimental objects to study the oxidation effect of hypochlorite solution.The simulated dye wastewater consists of 10mg/L Rhodamine B and 100mg/L Direct Red 12B solution.The results show that simulated dye wastewater can be completely decolorized by the hypochlorite solution and its function is obvious.The marine algae used in this study are Platymonas helgolandica and Nitzschia closterlum of logarithmic growth phases.The results showed that low concentration hypochlorite solution whose lethal dose concentration is 0.8-1.Omg/L had a good killing effect on both algae,meanwhile the use of it as algaecide didn't significantly affect the temperature,conductivity,pH and other water quality conditions of seawater,so the oxidant wouldn't damage the stability of the marine ecological environment.The changes of chlorophyll a content in mixed solution during two marine microalgae removal process was also studied,and it further analyzed the mechanism of algae removal process by hypochlorite solution.It is concluded that hypochlorite solution decomposes chlorophyll a in algal cells with its oxidative properties,inhibiting its photosynthesis and eventually making the algal cells irreproducible.
