Using the marine antifouling paint is the most efficient mans to solve the threat of marine biofouling.Acrylic silane resin,due to its non-heavy metal ions,stable hydrolysis rate in seawater,hydrolysis products will not harm the marine ecosystems,is the most commonly used matrix resin as environmentally friendly self-polishing anti-fouling paint.However,there are still some disadvantages,e.g.unsatisfactory anti-fouling efficient when ships in low speed,poor mechanical properties,need to be optimized.In this paper,the polymer was prepared by adjusting the monomer ratio,adding the modified filler,to improve the antifouling and mechanical properties.The paper mainly includes the following aspects:10 groups of acrylic silane resin were designed and synthesized by free radical polymerization,and then 10 groups of organic boron modified acrylic silane resin were prepared by grafting pyridine triphenylborane.The effects of the ratio of monomer and the amount of initiator on the properties of the resin were investigated.It was found that the amount of initiator mainly affected the viscosity of the resin and the monomer ratio was the key factor affecting the resin performance.The structures and properties of the modified resin were characterized by FT-IR,GPC,TG,static hydrolysis experiments and anti-seaweed adhesion experiments.The results show that pyridine triphenylborane is successfully grafted onto acrylic silane resin.The higher the ratio of organic boron,the higher the static hydrolysis rate of the modified resin and the better resistance to seaweed adhesion.Sodium montmorillonite?Na-MMT?was modified into organic montmorillonite?OMMT?by intercalation with water as the dispersion medium and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide?CTAB?as intercalation agent.Then,nano-montmorillonite modified acrylic silane resin was prepared by intercalation method.The structures and morphology of montmorillonite were characterized by FT-IR,XRD and SEM.The basic parameters such as solid content,acid value and viscosity of the modified resin were measured and the thermodynamic properties,Seaweed attachment experiment were investigated.The results showed that the lamellar spacing of Na-MMT was increased after CTAB intercalation,and the montmorillonite was peeled off in the modified resin,and the nano-scale was dispersed in the matrix resin.The mechanical properties of the modified resin,Anti-seaweed adhesion properties were significantly improved.The nano-SiO2 was chemically modified by the grafting reaction of hydroxyl groups on the surface of nano-SiO2 by the hydrolysis of KH-570 with ethanol and oxalic acid as the dispersion medium.Then,nano-SiO2 was prepared by in-situ polymerization Acrylic silane resin.The structure and morphology of nano-SiO2 were characterized by particle size analysis,FT-IR and SEM.The basic parameters such as solid content,acid value and viscosity of the modified resin were measured and the thermodynamic properties,the anti-seaweed attachment experiments were carried out.The results show that the best dosage of KH-570 is10%,and the particle size of modified nano-SiO2 was the smallest.The SEM observation shows that the nano-SiO2 agglomeration was obviously reduced.By measuring the impact resistance,adhesion of modified resin,we found that the mechanical properties were significantly improved.
