High toxic and refractory organic tin-based antifouling paints which gradually withdrew from the historical stage,are replaced by several species of so-called“tin-free antifoulings”,such as zinc,copper,silicon acrylate copolymers self-polishing antifouling coatings which overcomes the drawback of high toxicity,but also has the advantages of energy savingand broad market prospects.Acrylate copolymerspolymerized with acrylic silane and fluorine monomer have the advantages of low surface energy,excellent temperature resistance,and outstanding corrosion resistance,andhave a great influence on the properties of antifouling paint.Therefore this paper mainly studies on the zinc,fluorine-silicone acrylate copolymers and their antifouling coatings.The work of this paper mainly includes the following aspects:Several groups of zinc acrylate copolymer were synthesized by the method of free-radical polymerization.Its solid content,acid value,viscosity and other basic parameters were determined,and the structures have been characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer.The orthogonal experiment was conducted to explore the effect of process conditions on the viscosity of the zinc acrylic resin,it was found that the initiator dosage has the greatest influence on the viscosity of the resin,followed by reaction temperature and dropping speed.The results of thermo-gravimetric analyzer,contact angle analyzer,weight-lossmeasurement and algae adhesion experiments has showed that the higher the ratio of zinc acrylate monomer,the better the thermal stability and algae resistance ability of the resin;As the content of zinc acrylate and methoxy ethyl acrylate monomer increased,the surface contact angle decreased as the the hydrolysis rate of resin went fast.Several groups of fluorine-silicone acrylate copolymer with different content of fluorine monomer was synthesized using the method of free-radical polymerization.Its solid content,viscosity and other basic parameters were determined,and the structures have been characterized by Fourier infrared spectrum too.The thermo-gravimetric analyzer,the contact angle analyzer and algae resistant experiment were used to test its performance.It was found that the morethe monomer ratio of acrylic silane,the better the thermal stability of the resin;With the increase of proportion of fluorine monomer,the surface energy of resin turned be smaller;The fluorine-silicone acrylate copolymer showedan excellent ability of algae resistance,and the adherentalgae would be less with the increase of the content of fluorine monomer;The X-ray photoelectron spectrometer was used to study the changes of surface chemical constitution of the resin.It was found that C-O,C=Osignificantly increased and the proportion of the Si(2p)and F(1s)obviously reducedafter soaked withwater and algae liquid.Several groups of tin-free antifouling coatings was prepared with zinc acrylicand fluorine-siliconeacrylic resinserved as binder,Cu2O and CuPT as antifouling agent,supplemented by some fillers and additives.The properties of antifouling paint have been studied by rotor test and raft test.It was found that solid content,sagging,fineness and viscosity of the coatings meet the requirement of construction.After rotor test,the contact angle of fluoride-silicon antifouling paint increased,while that ofzinc acrylic acid antifouling paintchanged little.Fluoride-silicon antifouling paint showed excellentfouling resistance property,and the higher fluorine monomer content,the better.
