In this paper,the main and auxiliary nozzles in the shed triangle of flow field of weft insertion with ZAX type in an air-jet loom is based on CFD analysis software,as the main and auxiliary nozzles and profiled reed are important components in the current air-jet loom.The main nozzle accelerates the weft yarn with main task and the auxiliary nozzles are also important components which affect relay weft insertion in a profiled reed type air-jet loom,which consume a large amount of gas during the weft insertion process.The weft insertion characteristics of the main and auxiliary nozzles in the shed triangle were explored based on numerical simulation and experimental verification.The following important conclusions are drawn:1)The effect of different angles(0°、3°、6°、9°、12°、15°)of profiled reed based on Fluent were researched under different air pressure.It was found that the weft insertion performance is better at 12 degrees,conforming to the needs of the current air-jet loom weft insertion mechanism.2)The pressures difference between main and auxiliary nozzles play a crucial role in the efficient air-jet loom.Under different air pressure combinations,the characteristics of the combined flow field of main and auxiliary nozzles and profiled reeds were investigated.It was found when the air pressure difference between the main and auxiliary nozzles is controlled in 0.05~0.1MPa,which is helpful to axial weft insertion and improves the efficiency of weft insertion.At the same time,the feasibility of numerical simulation is verified by the experiment.3)Due to needing to install many groups of auxiliary nozzle in an air-jet loom,and the spacing of the auxiliary nozzles affect the entire weft insertion process,so that the difference of auxiliary nozzles’ distance in the shed triangle of flow field of weft insertion was necessary to be explored.In this paper,when the main shaft rotation angle is 80 degrees,the numerical simulation is carried out under the different air pressure,and the results show that the effect of the weft insertion process is more ideal with the shortening of the distance of the auxiliary nozzles.
