In this paper,the development and current situation of piezoelectric ceramics and its typical barium titanate are reviewed.The structure,properties and preparation methods of precursor potassium titanate are introduced.The preparation methods of barium titanate are compared and analyzed.The barium titanate nanoparticles were synthesized by solvothermal method using titanate K0.8Li0.27Ti1.73O4 ?abbreviate as KTLO?with special open layered structure as precursor.In order to achieve barium titanate nanoparticles controlled synthesis,the composition,internal structure,morphology,and reaction mechanism of the samples were analyzed by XRD,FESEM and EDS,the reaction mechanism of the product were discussed,the effect of reaction conditions on the product was mastered.The nanoparticles with small particle size and uniform particle diameter distribution were prepared.In addition,the preparation technology of potassium lithium titanate by solvothermal method at low temperature was studied.The influence of reaction conditions on the particles size,appearance morphology and growth orientation of the reactor was discussed.The potassium lithium titanate powder with uniform particles size and morphology was prepared.The results show that the BaTiO3 particles with uniform particle size distribution can be obtained by solvothermal method with ethanol and water as the medium.The ultrafine barium titanate nanoparticles with average particle size of about 60 nm and better crystallinity can be obtained at 150? with ethanol/water ratio of 15:10.The flaky BaTiO3 crystal particles with uniform size and appearance are obtained at 150? in pure ethanol solvent.Since it maintains the original morphology of the precursor,the reaction is carried out following the topological chemical reaction mechanism.Compared with the traditional hydrothermal synthesis of barium titanate,solvothermal method with potassium lithium titanate as precursor,using ethanol/water as the solvent,may react at lower temperatures and is more efficient.The particle diameter distribution of product obtained are more uniform and smaller.The product particle obtained has more uniform diameter distribution and smaller size.
