Dielectric properties refer to the nature of the storage and loss of the electrostatic energy under the action of electric field, which are commonly expressed by the dielectric constant and the dielectric loss. The dielectric elastomer with excellent performance can produce a change in shape or size under the action of electric field, which can transform electric energy into mechanical energy directly. At present, the dielectric elastomer has a very wide range of applications in the field of sensor, actuator and power generation. As the dielectric constant of the material directly affects the electric energymechanical energy conversion property of the dielectric elastomer, this project is devoted to develop the high dielectric constant elastomer with excellent comprehensive performance. In this paper, acrylic resin elastomer(ARE)was synthesized by free radical polymerization, and two kinds of noval dielectric elastomer systems with ARE as matrix were developed.First of all, polyaniline(PANI)doped with p-toluene sulfonic acid(PTSA)were synthesized under the condition of mechanical stirring(PTSA-PANI)and ultrasonic oscillation(uPTSA-PANI)respectively,then PTSA-PANI and uPTSA-PANI were added to the ARE matrix to prepare the all organic high dielectric composite films(ARE/PTSA-PANI and ARE/uPTSA-PANI)respectively.TEM images of the two kinds of polyaniline showed that uPTSA-PANI had a larger crystalline domain than PTSA-PANI,and possessed a special branched structure.SEM images of the two composites demonstrated that PTSA-PANI had a more uniform dispersion in the matrix than that of uPTSA-PANI.Test results of the dielectric properties showed that at 100 Hz both of the dielectric constant of ARE/2.0% uPTSA-PANI and ARE/2.0% PTSA-PANI composite films were more than 30,representing a 10 times increase with respect to the neat ARE.And ARE/2.0% uPTSA-PANI composite possessed low dielectric loss and high dielectric constant than that of ARE/2.0% PTSA-PANI at high frequency.Secondly, the improved Hummers method was used to prepare the graphite oxide(GO),and the simple, rapid and environmentally friendly high temperature thermal reduction method was utilized to prepare the graphene(TrGN).At the same time, the high efficient, green surface active agent with good compatibility-Polyethylene(PVP)was utilized to modify the graphene to prepare the PVP-TrGN.The two kinds of graphene were added to ARE respectively to prepare novel percolation type dielectric composite system, that is,ARE/TrGN and ARE/PVP-TrGN.The SEM images of two kinds of dielectric elastomer composite films showed that the TrGN modified by PVP presented a more uniform dispersion in the ARE matrix.Test results of the dielectric properties showed that the addition of two kinds of graphene greatly increased the dielectric constant of ARE,moreover, the ARE/PVP-TrGN composite film has better dielectric properties than that of the ARE/TrGN composite films. At 100 Hz,the dielectric constant of ARE/1.6% PVP-TrGN composite film was as high as 100 at room temperature, which was 30 times of the dielectric constant of the ARE matrix, and with a low dielectric loss of 0.2.At the same time, the percolation value of the ARE/PVP-TrGN composite system was 1.65%,which was higher than that of the ARE/TrGN composite system(1.2%).In addition, the two kinds of dielectric elastomer composite still possessed excellent comprehensive properties.
