Urban Water Body Construction Strategies Study

Urban water body is the foundation of urban development and also an important part of urban structure as well as urban life,most cities are built on waterfront.With the continuous development of the urban,urban water body began to face water pollution,water quality and other issues.So in order to protect the urban water environment safety,to maintain the ecological health of the river,while the effective use of water resources,water improvement strategy as to ecological river improvement of which many are based on ecological restoration has been put forward.At present,most of the river improvement concepts are based on water environment protection,which to some extent neglected the water environment itself on the urban’s nurturing effect,fragmented the relationship between urban development and environmental protection.Based on the analysis of the status quo of urban water research at home and abroad,exploring the relationship between urban development and urban water body,and combined with the needs of urban development and residential life,the concept of Water Supportive Urban Design is put forwarded.The combination between the concept and the Water Sensitive Urban Design is used as a new type of urban water construction method,finally taking Funiu River as the research object for the practical application.The main research results are as follows:(1)The conclusion can be drawn about the water restoration in home and abroad,as well as the analysis and assessment on engineering treatment technology,water ecological treatment,river health water restoration based on river health theory and Water Sensitive Urban Design.According to the result,the paper provides the elementary solution about the future urban water restoration which should take both water environment protection and urban development into account.(2)Based on the urban water ecological functions,the new era urbanization definition,and the influence of water regeneration to urban regeneration,the paper analyses the close relationship between urban water and urban development.Therefore,the Water Supportive Urban Design which regards water environment as the urban supportive functions is put forwarded due to the analysis result.(3)The combination of the Water Supportive Urban Design and Water Sensitive Urban Design is used as the resolution to the new urban water restoration.Referring to the relevant researches,the paper,based on the quantification of the program,puts forward the urban water restoration strategy,theoretical framework and implementation plan of Water Supportive Urban Design and Water Sensitive Urban Design.The paper also constructs reasonable assessment system of urban water restoration strategy,which is based on the Water Supportive Urban Design and Water Sensitive Urban Design.Based on the assessment result of the project quantification,the paper also attempts to perfect the restoration program.(4)The Water Supportive Urban Design and Water Sensitive Urban Design are applied to the design of the Funiu River project,with the assessment of the reasonable evaluation system of urban river water design to this project,the final assessment value was 6.778,and therefore,the design is generally reasonable.According to the assessment result from the index of the respective part of the project,the relevant suggestions are put forwarded for the further improvement of the project from the surface runoff control,river shoreline form,project cycle and construction management.
