| We tried to apply multicomponent reactions into preparation of carbon nanomaterials-polymer including carbon nanotubes and graphene.Multicomponent reactions could occur at fast rate,high conversion efficiency while under smooth conditions.Raft polymerization would not interfere the process of multicomponent reactions while its speed was controllable.We tried to combine multicomponent reactions,Raft polymerization and π-πinteraction together to establish “one pot” carbon materials surface modification system with polymer,to prepare new functionalized polymer-carbon nanomaterials in one step.Polymer modification for carbon nanotubes’ surface mainly classified into two methods:covalent and non covalent modification.Covalent modification would destroy carbon nanotubes perfect conjugated system.Nevertheless,noncovalent π-πstacking would not cause similar defects.Therefore,we linked polymer to surface of carbon nanotubes through the π-π interaction between carbon nanotubes and polymer.Conventional operational means could be divided into “graft to” and “graft from”.The detailed process for “graft from” was to attach chain initiator onto carbon nanotubes surface priority,and then polymer would gradually grow from it.In contrast,“graft to” method meant to directly link prepared polymer on carbon nanotubes surface.Our topic tried to develop one pot system with combination of “graft to” and “graft from” strategies,to simply,effectively attach polymer onto surface of carbon materials.Then,in accordance to “graft to” and “graft from” strategies,this paper constructed Click reaction-RAFT polymerization one pot system to prepare carbon nanotubes-polymer composite.Excellent tolerance of Raft polymerizaiton guaranteed ites good compatiability with organic reactions.Through exploring the reaction conditions,we could effectively obtain innovative carbon nanomaterials-polymer materials.First,we obtained targeted polymer through RAFT priority.Through “graft to”strategy,with the combination of π-πstacking and multicomponent reaction(Biginelli and Mali),we successfully synthesized new functional carbon complex of which surface was attached by uniform polymer.Second,we constructed Biginelli-RAFT-π-πstacking one pot system through “graft from” strategy.For these three processes,they did not interfere each other while maintained their own advantages under good compatibility.We obtained various carbon nanotubes-polymer composites.Finally,we choose to combine Biginelli-RAFT-π-πstacking one pot system with mechanical exfoliation to obtain grapheme.Graphite layers were gradually peeled off by constant force while polymerswere attached to nondestructive graphene surface at same time.Anchored polymer could prevent graphene’s re-combination to graphite layers without external force.Therefore,we could successfully prepare nondestructive graphene-polymer innovative materials. |
