In this paper,technology and quality measures were developed to solve the problems of technical defects and product quality during the production of domestic upsetting sucker rod.The process quality was reached a stable level by the means of introducing foreign advanced sucker rod forging equipment,organizing the training of skilled workers and operators,mastering the advanced technology and achieving the production and operation of equipment.The mold was successfully achieved localization on the basis of translating and transforming the mold drawings,simulating the forging molding process by DEFORM software,analyzing the temperature field and stress-strain of mold and developing mold trail program by optimizing mold structure,mold material and heat treatment.Grouping experiments and performance analysis were carried out to study the entire process technology of upsetting sucker rod.This paper was analyzed various factors on upsetting sucker rod process technology exerted by raw materials straightening,flaw detection,heat distortion,overall quenched,shot strengthen,magnetic particle inspection,NC,surface hardening,packaging and dipping.Eight special technique,detailed technical document and test specification were developed.Quality control standards which were higher than the API standard technical indicators were formed to guide and regulate the on-site production.Performance testing and evaluation of product quality were developed.The specification of?16??19??22??25??29 ?D degree and H degree(HL and HY)of upsetting sucker rod product was passed the type test of Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of National Oil and Gas Wellhead Equipment.Quality performance was complied API SPEC 11 B and SY/T5029 Standards.Fatigue test of upsetting sucker rod was achieved 106.A full set of production equipment included the introduced equipment was successfully operating and online debugging based on the research and installation of equipment.The advantage of technology ensures the production of high quality upsetting sucker rod product.
