| Ionic Polymer Metal Composite(IPMC)is a new kind of smart material which has large deformation,low density and strong strain capacity.It can be widely applied in simulation,medical treatment,aeronautics and astronautics.The BaTiO3 reinforced fillers of the IPMC could greatly improve the actuation performance and the physics strength.Some study on the preparation technology of BaTiO3/IPMC,the basic features of IPMC,the actuation performance,the elasticity modulus and mechanical model about BaTiO3/IPMC are carried on in this paper.The preparation technology of IPMC: Solution casting method was used to prepare different content of BaTiO3/IPMC.The method of preparing ion exchange membrane dopped with BaTiO3 was improved.The IPMC samples were characterized by electron scanning microscope.The microscopic morphology and electrode configuration was obtained.Tne basic mechanical properties of IPMC: The different ion exchange membrane and IPMC on the aquifer characteristics were studied,and obtain the law of watercut vs time.IPMC was texted by tensile testing,the results showed that the reinforced fillers could greatly improve the elasticity modulus of IPMC.In order to compare the advantages and disadvantages of different test methods,five test methods are used to measure the elastic modulus.The result shows that nano indentation experiment is more accurate and more reliable.The actuation performance of IPMC: The actuation tests and force output tests on 3 V DC voltage and 3 V AC voltage were carried out.The mechanical model of IPMC: A gradient electrode model of ionic polymer-metal composite(IPMC)is proposed to estimate the basic properties in terms of Young’s modulus.The electrode of IPMC is divided into two parts: the outer electrodeand the inner electrode.The validity of the model is justified with the experimental results of an IPMC sample.The comparisons between the measured and predicted values show the validity and accuracy of the model. |
