The frictional haulage force of belt conveyor depends on conveyor belt tension and the friction between conveyor belt and driving drum.In case of the frictional haulage force could not satisfy the needs of normal operation,the slipping between conveyor belt and driving drum will happen,even caused the production accident.In order to ensure the normal operation of belt conveyor the belt must have large enough tension,so it has to using high-intensive belt,which increases the investment in equipment and the operating costs.This paper aim to improve the friction driving performance and reduce operating costs by use of the feedback booster device on belt conveyor.By using this device,belt conveyor can acquire larger frictional haulage force by lesser conveyor belt tension.And the limit frictional haulage force can respond to the change of load,decreased risk of the belt slipping.The main work of this paper as follows:1)The friction principle of belt conveyor was analyzed deeply.The booster friction drive device was designed to make the booster belt could action on the conveyor belt at driving drum.The rope friction equation and the formulas for maximum frictional haulage force of booster drive were derived by considering the booster belt tension.2)The feedback device was designed to make the conveyor belt tension could feedback to booster belt tension.The relationship between feedback coefficient and position of the rotary center was found by force analysis of feedback device.The strength,the stiffness,the angle of deflection and the responding time of feedback device were analyzed.3)The friction principle of feedback booster drive was analyzed by control theory.The nonslip condition of the conveyor belt was analyzed.The change of driving performance indicators brought by feedback booster device in different feedback coefficients was analyzed.And the application benefit of feedback booster device was calculated.4)Established the model of belt conveyor and feedback booster device by Recur Dyn.Obtaining velocity and tension changes of conveyor belt before and after setting the feedback booster device and different feedback coefficient.The simulation result shows that the feedback booster device can improve the frictional driving performance of belt conveyor,the driving performance increasing along with the feedback coefficient.And the results of to the result of Recur Dyn simulation accord with the formula result.This paper provided a certain theoretical support for improve the friction haulage force that belt conveyor can transmit and the design of feedback booster device.
