Scraper conveyor as an important component of fully mechanized coal mining equipment,its working performance and service lift directly affect the efficient production of coal mine.The controlled start transmission(CST)is applied in scraper conveyor driving system which has no-load start,card chain protection and soft start,etc.To master the working characteristic of CST not only makes the drive system of heavy machinery constantly enrich and develop,but also the promotion of technology performance of key component makes the research on CST more vitality.Housing as the support and damping part of CST,its mechanical properties affects the technology and service life of CST.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out the finite element analysis of housing of CST.The finite element method is used to discrete the housing,each part of housing is connected by simulating bolts,the housing finite element is established through constraint set.Meanwhile,based on multi-body dynamics theory,the virtual prototype model of CST gear transmission system is built and simulated by software Adams,obtained the force on bearpoint of housing which as the load data for the static and dynamic analysis of housing.Secondly,based on the finite element analysis theory,the static analyze of finite element model of CST housing is carried out,the maximum stress and displacement under maximum output torque condition is obtained,the stress is 61.86 MPa,displacement is 0.14 mm,means the housing has enough strength.In addition,the dynamic analysis of housing is performed which got free modal and constrain modal normal frequencies,and to determine the box parts prone to fatigue damage under resonance;the dynamic stress results is obtained which close to the static analysis result,fluctuation trend is consistent with load change.Finally,the CST dynamic characteristics test is set and measured the dynamic stress and acceleration data under the rated condition,the dynamic response and vibration characteristics of gearbox is obtained,and then compare the stress results of simulation and test,the natural frequencies and vibration frequencies of gearbox.Results demonstrate that the finite element model of housing can accurately show the working condition and also can better reflect the dynamic characteristics of gearbox,which provide the theory basis for the engineering application of gearbox.
