Electrocatalyst is an important component of fuel cells,and improving the catalytic activity of electrocatalyst is the key to ensure the efficiency of the battery and save energy.The polyaryletherketone(PPEK)electrospun fibrous membranes,not only has good mechanical and thermal performance like special engineering plastic,but also has large specific surface,corrosion resistance which laid a foundation for the production and application of special engineering plastics fibrous membrane in electrocatalysts.PPBEK-Pd composite fiber membrane was obtained by grafting biphenyl structure to obtain PPBEK.Then the electroless deposition technique was used to deposit Pd on the fiber surface.As the electrocatalyst carrier,PPBEK fiber not only solved the problem of precious metal agglomeration,but also avoided the catalyst poisoning to some extent.The initial potential of methanol oxidation of PPBEK-Pd was-0.68 V and the peak current density was 28.4 m A/cm~2.The PPEK was modified by grafting mercapto group,and considering the Au-S bond which made Au bonded to the fiber surfacestably,so PPEK-SH-Au composite fiber membrane was obtained.The initial potential of glycerol oxidation was-0.341 V and the peak current density was 75.65 m A/cm~2,showing PPEK-SH-Au electrode had good catalytic performance for glycerol oxidation.In addition,the 50 th peak current density only decreased 4.9% compared to the first time,indicating that PPEK-SH-Au electrode had high stability on catalyzing oxidation of glycerol.Because of the metallic bonding effect between the Au seeds and Pd the PPEK-SHAu-Pd composite fibrous membrane was prepared.The initial potential of methanol oxidation was-0.46 V,and its peak current density was 24.56 m A/cm~2.With the increase of final potential,the peak of secondary oxidation decreased,peak current density rose and then declined with the increase of the concentration of KOH.Taking the electrospinning nanofibers as electrocatalyst carrier,not only reduced the amount of precious metals,saved the cost,but also improved the efficiency of catalyst.
