With the continuous development of offshore resources, offshore pipeline has become the lifeline of offshore oil and gas transport. However, due to corrosion caused by pipeline corrosion more and more serious, seriously endangering people living environment. Therefore,in order to avoid the occurrence of offshore pipeline accident, reduce the pollution of the marine ecological environment and improve the safe operation of the offshore pipeline, the study of the corrosion failure of the offshore oil and gas pipeline is very meaningful. This paper is based on a large number of domestic and foreign literatures and the distribution of offshore oil and gas in Chain and the characteristics of pipelines, and firstly studies the failure causes of the offshore oil and gas pipeline. The results show that corrosion is the main cause of pipeline failure,The corrosion depth prediction model and the corrosion rate prediction model are studied. The comparative analysis of several commonly used models is carried out.In the case analysis of corrosion prediction, the Frechet distribution theory is used to analyze the corrosion prediction of the offshore oil and gas pipeline. The prediction model of corrosion depth of the offshore oil and gas pipeline is established to predict the maximum possible corrosion depth of the whole pipeline.Based on the prediction of corrosion depth, the Markov chain is used to establish the corrosion prediction model, and the corrosion trend of the corrosion pipe is predicted accurately. Finally, based on the exponential method, the evaluation index model of offshore pipeline failure consequence is established for the possible consequences of pipeline failure. The effects of failure consequences on people, environment, society, economy and company are studied, and taking the REA model to monetize the oil spill damage to the ecological environment.Due to the limited level of research, the model still has more information on the data, and there is still some shortcomings in the comprehensiveness of the model, which will be the focus of future research.
