Compared with conventional machine tool,machining precision micro components with the miniaturized machine tool has the advantage of energy,space,resources conservation,therefore,the development of precision miniaturized machine tool is becoming a trend in the development of machine tool technology.In order to realize the high precision of processing in a properly size between the machine tool and the micro-parts and reduce the cost,this paper aims at designing the miniatured gantry micro-milling system,whose main research contents are as follows:(1)According to the requirements of micro-components processing and the relevant configuration of the key components of CNC system,the precision of the system and the stroke of the feeding table,the selection and the construction of the key components of CNC is completed,which also includes the auxiliary functions as follows :the way of tool presetting,the counterweight of the motorized spindle system,processing visual monitoring system and the design and the construction of the electric control system.Based on the nine line identification technology,the causes of various geometric errors of machine tool system are analyzed and the error parameter equation is established,which provides the theoretical basis for the error compensation in the future.(2)By using the finite element software to carry out static analysis,modal analysis,harmonic response analysis on the micro-milling system,the frequency that cause resonance easily is figured out,which provides a theoretical basis for choosing the processing parameters properly and avoiding the resonance frequency caused by processing.By using dynamic testing system to carry out modal test on the micro-milling system,its dynamic performance parameters(modal shape and natural frequency and modal damping ratio)can be obtained.Through analyzing the key parameters of dynamic performance of the micro-milling system above,which indicates that the overall rigidity of the micro-milling system is fine.(3)By carrying out 310 S stainless steel milling experiment,which is a kind of difficult machining material,and the circular array and cylindrical array micro-machining experiment with the miniature 4-axis gantry micro-milling system,the processing parameters are explored to provide reference for processing for future,meanwhile the processing performance of the miniature 4-axis gantry micro-milling system is verified.
