In recent years, the integrated gasification combined cycle(IGCC)technology has made great progress. However, the particles and tar in the producer gas will not only corrode and block the equipment of IGCC,but also affect the safe operation of gas turbine.Nowadays, the producer gas purifying system cannot satisfy the standards of IGCC due to lots of problems, such as the low efficiency of dust collection and high operation coats. To solve this problem,a new technology by using electrostatic precipitator(ESP)to purify the producer gas is proposed in this article.Firstly, the physical and chemical properties of the dust were analyzed.Secondly, the feasibility of ESP using for purifying the producer gas,the corona discharge characteristics of producer gas and the impacts of corona field were studied. Finally, the dust collection experiments were carried out using the ESP.Results show that:(1)The main particles shapes in the dust are bar and lump. Its size distribution is board, and the median diameter of dust which mainly consists of SiO2,Al2O3 and other oxides is 28.24μm.(2)The stable corona current can be produced in producer gas.Further more, the corona current decreases with the increase of gas pressure. The optimal corona discharge performance is obtained under the condition of BS 4-tooth barbed wire matched 480 C plate with the wire spacing of 300 mm and the plate spacing of 300 mm.In addition, the H2 and CH4 molecules can enhance the corona discharge effect.(3)Under the optimal polar form condition as shown previously, the dust collection efficiency can reach 98.64 %when the gas velocity is 1 m/s and the nozzle pressure is 0.4 MPa.(4)The addition of sodium hydrate solution in the spray system can not only improve the corona field of producer gas discharging, but also enhance the collection efficiency. Therefore, when there is sodium hydrate solution in the spraying water, the collection efficiency can also reach97.32 % under the water pressure of only 0.3 MPa.The ESP can be used for purifying the producer gas efficiently, and its dust content of outlet producer gas can meet the IGCC standards completely. |
