The Numerical Control Electrochemical Contour Evolution Machining(NC-ECCEM)combines the advantages of Computer Numerical Control(CNC)technology and Electrochemical Machining(ECM)technology and overcome their inadequacies.The cathode's motion is in accordance with the NC instruction,and solving the manufacturing problems of complex cavity and surface.With the continuous research and development,the technology has gradually improved,and has received more and more attention.With the rapid development of computer simulation technology,the machining simulation technology has been applied in the field of manufacturing very well.The application of this technology not only improve the production efficiency greatly,and save the production costs sharply.At the same time,it promotes the development of advanced manufacturing technology greatly.In this paper,an aero engine impeller is studied as the research object.In order to develop a set of NC-ECM simulation system with five degrees freedom and expand the application areas of NC-ECCEM technology,the UG second development technology based on the software Visual C++6.0 and the combined technology of computer simulation and NC-ECCEM has been used.Firstly,the structural characteristics of the integral impeller is introduced briefly,and the parameterized modeling and 3D modeling are carried out respectively,the mainly manufacturing methods is expounded.Through the analysis and comparison of each technology's merits and demerits,this lays a theoretical foundation for the selection of NC-ECCM and the advantages of NC-ECCEM technology are affirmed.The integral impeller's parametric modeling and 3D modeling is carried out by means of NURBS spline and other tools of UG software.Secondly,the process scheme of NC-ECCM of integral impeller is analyzed and the simulation system is developed.The application menu and user interface are designed according to simulation specification through the UG/Open development tools of UG software by analysis the main motion process.The simulation program is designed according to the machining difficulties through the software Visual C++.The material remove machining simulation is also achieved and estimate the interference.Finally,the tool path planning,error analysis and error compensation were carried out by use this simulation system.The test results are analyzed and compared with the results of VERICUT to evaluate the effectiveness of the simulation system.The research results show that the machining precision of integral impeller which manufactured by the simulation system have improved,the machining accuracy of the blades increases to ±0.1mm.The blades have higher level of consistency and good surface finish.
