Self-lubricating spherical plain bearings are widely used in aircraft and other high-end equipment,self-lubricating liner also arises at the historic moment because it is part of self-lubricating spherical plain bearings.Self-lubricating spherical plain bearing fails to serve mainly because of the wear of the fabric-liner,losing its self-lubricating ability.Therefore it is necessary to study the tribological properties of self-lubricating liner.Studies show that surface texture can effectively improve the tribological performance of friction pairs,so this article has carried out a series of studies about the influence of surface texture on the tribological properties of fairs composed of 45#steel and the fabric-liner,this is very important to improve the tribological properties of self-lubricating liner.At first this paper explores the regularity of processing surface texture on 45#steel using texture processing equipment with different parameters;then according to the regularity we process surface texture with different parameters on the surface of45#steel,which composes friction pairs with self-lubricating liner.In order to explore the mechanism and regularity of the tribological properties of surface texture's basic parameters,including diameter,area density,depth to diameter ratio,working on flat surface friction pair,we evaluate the friction and wear properties of the friction fairs with MMU-5 friction and wear testing machine.The experimental results show that surface texture with certain parameters can improve the friction and wear properties of friction pair composed with 45#steel and self-lubricating line effectively,and the surface texture whose diameter is 100 ?m,area density is 30%,and depth to diameter ratio is 0.1,makes the friction pair perform best.Then I process the surface texture with this set of parameters on the shaft using laser processing technology,which compose friction pair with two half-rings with fabric-liner pasted on their inner surface and evaluate its properties of friction and wear using the machine of evaluating the properties of friction and wear of self-lubricating spherical plain bearing.The results show that surface texture with this set of parameters can obviously improve the cylinder friction pair 's tribological properties.So we prove that surfacetexture can improve the tribological properties of friction pairs and provide basis data of using surface texture on the surface of inner ring of self-lubricating spherical plain bearings for practical application.
