As an important energy consumption and performance indicator of tire,rolling resistance not only directly affects the fuel economy,but also relates to tire heat production,wear and life.Having excellent performance in solving tire material,geometry and contact nonlinearity problems,finite element method has become the most popular method in rolling resistance research.In this paper,the method is used to establish tire model,and the influence of parameters on rolling resistance is studied.The influence mechanism of the working parameters and the structural parameters on the rolling resistance are discussed,which can provide reference for the selection of tire condition parameters and structural optimization.Based on the study of producing mechanism,test methods and influencing factors of tire rolling resistance,the calculation method of it is determined firstly.Then,the three-dimensional finite element model of 195/65R15 radial tire is set up in ABAQUS software.Rolling resistance value and energy loss distribution under standard test conditions are calculated.Carrying out tire rolling resistance test to verify the result's accuracy,the deviation between test data and calculation result is 3.95%,indicating that the tire model can be used for rolling resistance research.Based on the above model,the influence of operating parameters(velocity,inflation pressure and load)and structural parameters(belt width,belt angle and turn-up height of carcass)on the rolling resistance is analyzed.The following conclusions are obtained:(1)With the increase of load and inflation pressure,the rolling resistance shows a linear increase and a tendency to decrease along the parabola.Under the low and moderate driving speed,the speed had little effect on rolling resistance.(2)The smaller width of belt 2 leads to a lower rolling resistance than belt 1,which will not adversely affect other properties of the tire.Appropriate reduction of the belt angle is conducive to improving the radial stiffness of tire,reducing tire deformation and helping to reduce tire rolling resistance.Reducing the turn-up height of carcass can reduce rolling resistance value,but should avoid that the lower turn-up height will lead to early damage in tire bead.The influence of parameters on rolling resistance is analyzed from deformation and stress in the same part of different schemes.Baesd on the analysis of tire rolling resistance,take into account the analysis of other tire performance,which has positive effect on the development of low rolling resistance tires.
