Plasma spraying technology has been widely used in recent years, such as aero space, petrochemical, the automotive of spare parts manufacturing and shipbuilding industry etc.meanwhile,Meanwhile, with the constantly development of industrial manufacturing technology of our country, people are making higher requests to the manufacturing and forming quality, but the traditional technology do not adapted to this.the plasma spraying technology can effectively improve the performance of parts as the surface modification and improve the quality of parts,so this technology get more and more attention. The atmospheric plasma spray technology used electric arc as the heat source to forme a high temperature with adjustable heat to melt the highly point metal materials almost all,and forms a bond layer with high strength. It is believed that the plasma spraying technology will be further improved in the near future through many scholars further study about the crack, porosity and residual stress in the coating. In this paper,ANSYS was used to simulate the temperature change and stress in the plasma spraying process.Based on the analysis of the temperature, the change and distribution of temperature were obtained in the process of spraying, the influence on temperature changing by different technology process, the main technical parameters are include the velocity of the spray gun and the size of the current and voltage, the process involves single or two layers in single channel, the two methods show different temperature changes. We can obtained the stress distribution and change in the spraying process through the analysis of the stress. In the process of spray coating, the coating is subjected to pressure stress and the basal body is subjected to tensile stress, there is a large of concentration stress between the coating and the substrate,so provide the basis for explaining the buckling, cracking and delamination caused by residual stress.Besides, this paper also summed the disadvantages of the coating in the aspects of wear resistance and porosity, the heat transfer styles, the model unit size determine and divide, the sources of stress produce and so on.Through the introduction of the basic theory and the results of numerical analysis of the temperature and stress of the model,it provides the basis for setting the relevant of parameters about the plasma spraying technology. Some simplification in the process of numerical analysis was made,it has a certain impact on the results, but can save lot of computation time and the results from the analysis still has reference value.
