Water Purification Investment Strategies In The Upstream Fashion Supply Chain: A Case Of A Printing And Dyeing Company

As one of the traditional pillar and important livelihood industries for our national economy,textile and clothing industry has an obvious advantage in international competition.The textile and apparel supply chain should be emphasized because it is important in the manufacturing process.It contains spinning,printing and dyeing,clipping,sewing,distribution,sales and so on.However a large number of pollutants will be produced in the printing and dyeing which is in the upstream.Textile-dyeing wastewater causes much pollution to the environment.Governments at all levels have taken measures to treat pollution.Whether the textile-dyeing industries can gain profits,how to take actions to deal with it are the main problems solved in the paper.We use the game theory,modeling under the non-competitive and the competitive environment.What the set is the government and the firm aiming to the most benefits with non-subsidy,production subsidy,investment subsidy.This paper will get the optimal price,profit,subsidies,and government performance to find the element affecting them,conclusion based on the analysis and comparison.Finally,we will find out the suitable water purification strategy for the firm facing with government policies and the competition based on the data and the model.Based on the research,we find that the subsidy affects the company in the non-competitive environment,but other elements do in the competitive environment in the competitive environment,purification fees,for example.Besides,the company needs to increase more purification shares if expecting gains more profit and being more competitive.The company has to make decision based on the purification fees.This paper use the game theory expecting to help the textile-dyeing industries competitive,find out the right measure to deal with the water purification investment cutting the costs and gain more profits.Besides,we hope that proves will make more industries step into the water purification road to reduce water pollution,keeping sustainable.
