Continuous casting technology is a key technology in billet production,along with the application of the continuous casting technology,studying how to improve the quality of casting billet internal organization structure of metallurgical industry has very important significance.For a long time,many researchers of the field have done extensive research on internal organization structure.Some scholars adopt the method of physical experiment,due to unfavorable factors,such as long experiment period,it is limited and no big breakthrough in practical application.With the rapid development of modern computer technology,it is widely applied in materials science and metallurgy,some scholars using computer and numerical simulation method to study the internal organization and structure and achieve great progress,it is important significance to accurate online prediction of internal organization structure in continuous casting billet.Base on 160 mm X 160 mm billet continuous casting machine in a steelworks,this paper uses CA-FVM model of macro and micro that is the combination of Cellular automata and Finite volume,which use the Finite volume method(FVM)to calculate macro temperature field and use the cellular automata to predict micro internal organization and structure.In microstructure simulation solidification,it adopt continuous nucleation model based on Gaussian distribution to simulate nucleation,the KGT model is used to calculate the growth rate,online prediction of the internal organization and structure in continuous casting billet is made by using the VB.NET language that is easy to master.In this paper,through a comprehensive analysis of the temperature field,solidification and solute field,selecting the CA grid density,thermal physical parameters,the nucleation parameters,I read relevant literature to select reasonable empirical parameters and empirical formula.The paper uses the steel of 60#to test steady-state analysis and internal organization and structure,it predicts the pouring temperature and water to the influence on the internal organization and structure,the result of this study includes:(1)In the solidification heat,the paper uses the solidification process of 60#steel to analysis steady state.To analysis center temperature,billet surface temperature,liquid phase temperature and slab thickness,which is consistent with the actual results;(2)In prediction of internal organization and structure,predicting the evolution of 60#steel structure and the process of columnar to dendrite transition(CET)qualitatively.The predicting results are consistent with theoretical analysis and practice process;(3)Predicting the process parameters of continuous casting make effect on the internal organization and structure,improving pouring temperature,increasing the intensity of water,increasing the pull speed,which can promote the growth of columnar crystal and restrain the growth of dendrite.
