Zirconium and hafnium are important strategic resources, which are widely used in many areas including national economy, national defense construction. And its depth and effective separation has been the research hotspot difficulties. Designing and synthesizing of novel extractant which exhibit high efficiency and high selectivity toward metals and related technology research have been the hydrometallurgy research focus. In this thesis, several neutral phosphorus (phosphonic) acids extraction agents have been designed and synthesized and their application and mechanism in the extraction and separation of Zr and Hf was studied. The main research contents is as follows:Designing and synthesizing some new neutral extractants:a-aminophosphoryl (Cextrant 230), phosphordiamidat extractants (BEAP,L1, L2, L3 and L4).Their application in the extraction and extraction separation of zirconium and hafnium was studied, respectively.(1) The extraction and separation performance of?-aminophosphoryl (Cextrant 230) towards zirconium and hafnium was investigated under the different experimental conditions . The factors such as mineral acids, acid concentration, the extractant concentration,and temperature were studied. The extractant of saturated loading capacity and stripping was studied and extraction reaction mechanism was discussed simply.(2) The extraction and separation performance of phosphordiamidat extractants BEAP towards zirconium and hafnium was investigated in the different experimental conditions. The factors such as mineral acids, acid concentration, the extractant concentration,and temperature were studied and the extractant of saturated loading capacity and stripping was studied. Using the means of cascade extraction to extract and separate zirconium and hafnium from sulfate medium, by which the content of HfO2 was decreased to 0.01% in Zr02 product.(3) The new extractants (L1, L2, L3 and L4) to extract and separate zirconium and hafnium from different acid medium were studied. The extraction reaction mechanism was discussed.(4) In order to select the best extractants to extract and separate zirconium and hafnium, the effects of this series of extractants were studied and compared.
