S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAM),as an important physiological active substances,exists in the most of the natural cell.In clinical application,SAM express many features such as anti-depression,arthritis etal.SAM was produced by biological fermentation method in industrial production.In this paper,we talk about interdiscipline composed of computer science and bio-fermentation technology.The main content is about how to control fermentation process with computer control technology,and realizing automatic control in whole fermentation process of SAM,at the same time the new technology will promote the production of SAM and decrease the period of fermentation,and reducing cost for the factory.we talk about the two parts in this paper.The first part is mainly talking about the design of the glucose fed-batch system based on feedback of the ethanol concentration.In this part we introduce about the theory about ethanol detection,the design of hardware,the design of software,and the scheme of glucose fed-batch control.At last the precision of ethanol detector accurate within 1 g/L,and the response time within 2s.The second part is about the way to optimizing fermentation process,simplifing the fermentation process,and completing the automatic control fermentation process with ethanol detector.In 5L fermentation system,the production of SAM come to 14.6 g/L,enhanced 15%than previous work,and the time of fermentation decrease from 54h to 42h,the percent conversion of L-met come to 33%with the new fermentation technology.In the 300 L fermentation system the production of SAM come to 10.4 g/L,the time decrease from 54h to 44h,the L-met's conversion is 30.4%.In all this process the ethanol detector operating stabily in 3 months with parallel fermentation with 4 fermentor.
