One of the important symbols of the process simulation technology’s development towards width and depth,is the application of dynamic simulation.As chemical engineering is gradually becoming complicate,automatic and precise,it is imperative to develop a simulation system for complex and large systems in order to conduct a deeper and more comprehensive description and analysis of producing process.Calculation of pipe network is an important part in chemical dynamic process simulation.It is one of the difficult points of calculation as well as one of the key points of developing general dynamic simulation system.Coordinating the relationship between pipe network and equipment,putting forward a proper solution to topology identification,modeling in a simple method and conducting efficient and stable calculation,are questions worth studying.Solving these problems is significant for pipe network calculations.There are two major difficulties in pipe network simulation calculation.One is automatic identification of pipe structure and the other is efficient and stable calculation.Only when these two questions are settled,a self-modeling,self-solving,efficient and stable calculation can be founded.In the paper,a branch-confluent piping is proposed,which is a supplement and perfection of series piping,parallel piping,branch piping and confluent piping.The iteration calculation is by the secant method,and identification is by the adjacency matrix search.For complicated pipe network system,solutions strategy are put forward in the paper according to the order of series piping,parallel piping,branch piping,confluent piping and branch-confluent piping.Identification and mergence is by the adjacency matrix search.The process of identification is the process of modeling;the process of mergence is the process of simplification;the process of flow pressure distribution is the process of calculation.Finally,by simulation test with cumene,phenol acetone,etc.,pipe network model obtains a good application effect in industrial example.
